A Journey of Self- Awareness with Ulysses

A JOURNEY OF SELF-AWARENESS WITH ULYSSES, THE HERO, AS GUID:

AN ARCHETYPAL TRAVELOGUE, A FONT OF ALL KNOWLEDGE

Each of us is Ulysses. Each of us is going to do his journey, consciously or not, and each of us is going to return to the place he had never left from.

Our inner need for evolution is our need for the search of the truth of the soul and our need for the unity with the divine.

We remain unsaved souls by ignorance and we float around into time, from one experience to another, while we meet wild beasts and monsters, tough opponents and moments of loneliness and fear. We overpower ourselves between Scylla and Charybdis and we fell unable to act.

Shyness and hesitation, the sense of inferiority and of weakness make us quite often detained and keep us passive receivers towards every situation that arises in our lives. Other times we are bewitched by the song of the Sirens, we taste the fruit of the Lotus-Eaters, we are fed with the cattle of the Sun.

Criticism, egoism, arrogance and anger make us rulers of the others, taking away from us understanding, compassion, justice, the beauty of being, and alienating us from the peace we are looking for; they make us change partners, houses, towns, even countries, in order to calm our inner search.

However, here comes a time that our sleeping self is being awakened and at that time everything can happen; everything can change. This situation overflows us with the feeling of justice and gives us the strength we need to continue the journey of our soul that as the loyal Penelope is waiting for us to return and be united with her into an eternal union, with love and beauty.

Everybody can start his journey wherever he is.

The period we live in is a period of big changes all around the world: we, as a part of this world, feel the vibration of the change and we have to take part in it, even if we want it or not.

Actually, how many times have we found ourselves at an impasse?

How many times have we felt that truth was taken away from us?

How many times have we been trapped by the obstacles in our way?

How many times, even if we knew what we should have done, we didn't have the strength to do it?

Far away from the daily life and routine but quite near to ourselves,

together with the keys that will be given to us through Ulysses' journey,

with a lot of fun, joy, playing and gratitude, we will enlighten the part of the road

we have already taken until now, in order to get its presents.

In this way, we will find out:

Ιn which part of our journey we are;

Which challenges we are now facing;

Which is the song of the Sirens that bewitches us and take us out of our path;

When we cross the narrows of Scylla and Charybdis and what we should do;

If we are willing to blind Cyclop or if we have already done it;

How many times have we already been to the Land of the Dead;

We will also realize:

If we listen to our inner voice;

If we are aware of our talents and our weaknesses;

Which things we spend our precious energy on;

How many things we do due to fear;

How many things we do because of love;

When the goddess of Wisdom is speaking to us;

How not to leave the things take their own way;

When and how to take the responsibility of them;

How to cultivate faith and trust,

and how to become the skilled driver of our lives.
